Philosophy
As a new semester begins, introduction's' activities include "Getting to know you". Beside the traditional questionnaire where the student presents another one to the rest of the class, Le profil métaphorique is a writing and a creative activity in three steps
Tasks
1- The students need to fill each sentence with a personal item. The format is " Si j'étais...., je serais..." (If I were ...., I would be..)
It allows to review country, food, color, clothes.....
2- The teacher reads out loud some elements of the profile and asks the students to guess who it is. The students practice listening and speaking skills at this step.
3-The students illustrate their own profile through a web-poster, using fireworks. The requirements are 4 elements with 4 pictures, a title and the sentences corresponding to the elements picked.
Conclusion
The students practice the 4 foreign language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). The presentational mode was used through the web-poster, allowing the students to express themselves in a very creative way.
